Cape San Blas - Florida Beach Family Photos

FAMILY FUN -- RELAXATION -- GOOD FRIENDS --  GORGEOUS WEATHER -- LAZY BEACH DAYS ... the perfect week!

Hope everyone had a wonderful spring break! I'm having a hard time getting back to reality! I'm still in the lazy laid back beach state of mind! What a beautiful and relaxing get away! This is the first time we've shared a house on the beach with two other families! It ended up working out fabulously! Cape San Blas, Florida - the town/peninsula where we stayed, was totally off the beaten path and non-commercial. However we did have a gas station/convenience store just a little walk away.  The funniest part of the trip was figuring out what time zone we were in! Apparently the line goes through the town. Cape San Blas observes Eastern Time Zone. But half of our phones were on central and the other half were on eastern. It's a good thing we didn't really care about what time it was! ha!

The first 4 days were all sun and fun! The last two days we had cool clouds in the morning with rain in the afternoon. But it was near 80's all week, so the warmth was such a treat! Here's a little peek at our week.

And here's the whole crew (pictured above)! We spent the last afternoon in the cutest town -- Apalachicola (about 20 minutes away). Now I'm wondering why I didn't take pictures of this little historical beach town with lots of great shopping and eateries!

It was fun to be in some of the photos! Thanks Jordan for getting these behind the scenes shots of me! :) And also the photo of my family! Sad that Andrew (our oldest son), couldn't come along on the trip. His college spring break is a different week!

I felt like we had the beach to ourselves a lot of the time! And then when there were people out, they were some of the friendliest and nicest people.

My favorite part about the cloudy day was being able to capture these beautiful colors (see below)! Oh and this sandpiper was our friend for the week. This bird was always by our little beach area! It was fun to include her/him in the video! This picture just might be my screensaver right now!

Ok - I'm ready to go back!!! I want to sit on the beach and listen to the waves! Our house we stayed in was called Ooh La La! It was perfect for 3 families. Here's the info if you want a little get away off the beaten path.
