Your Portrait Experience: What to Expect
Get ready for a fun, laid-back day.
After you select your date, we’ll begin with your planning session. It's never too early to come into the studio to get the ball rolling on designing your custom senior session!
At the pre-shoot meet-up, I’ll take you through the whole process, step by step. You’ll tell me what makes you tick and how you want to be photographed. But don’t panic if you have no idea; that’s part of what I can do for you! We’ll discuss location options, outfit ideas, optional professional makeup application/hairstyle and even change your session time if needed to match the photos you are looking at creating together. I take a limited amount of sessions each month. But as long as you are on the calendar we can adjust the day if needed due to weather and unexpected circumstances.
I understand you might feel nervous, but your only job is to just be you; my job is to show you how magnificent you are.
I promise, it’ll be fun!
the signature session
The Signature Session is customized just for you. Includes multiple locations (optional indoor & various outdoor) and outfit changes. Includes an in person or zoom planning session, what to wear guide & session prep packet!
If you have a sibling, pet, best friend, or props you want to include in your portraits, bring them along! And if you feel like sneaking in a quick family photo, we can do that, too.
If needed, at the planning session you can add on extra time, an additional shoot day to capture a different season or sports/activity.
the LIMITED EDITION STUDIO EVENT
Want some epic senior photos in a smaller amount of time without all of the customization? The limited edition session might be perfect for you!
This event happens a few times a year. Don’t worry, even though this one doesn’t come with an in person planning session, you’ll still receive the what to wear guide along with the session prep packet so you’ll be prepared and ready for your session!
What You’ll Receive
product reveal & album design
Within 1–3 weeks after your session, my assistant, Jenny, will come to your home (or studio) with your photographs so you can look, touch, and really feel them in the place you’re most comfortable: your own space. And Jenny is fantastic at listening to what you want and helping you navigate through your images to build a collection of 25–40 (or all!) photos that work best for you. It’s almost as fun as the shoot itself!
High res digitals are always a popular product because you can share them with all of your friends, post on your social media feeds and make prints of your favorites.
And while technology is great, I’m a huge believer in the tangible; I want you to also have images that you can touch and feel. There’s nothing like holding a photograph that you love in your hands. I’ll take your selections and design an album just for you, and in approximately 4–5 weeks, your album and other surprises will be delivered right to your doorstep. It’s the gift that keeps on giving—you get to fall in love with your photos over and over again!
