Gage | Senior Photos + Lots of Puppy Love

You had me at puppies!

I was so excited for the chance to photograph 8 week old Golden Retrievers. Since Gage is hard at work every Spring caring for the pups and getting them ready for their forever home. Gage's family lovingly breeds English Cream Golden Retrievers (www.redrockgoldenretrievers.com). And these pups did not disappoint. Seriously, can they be any cuter? I really wanted to take one home with me.

After our first stop in Pella, we headed downtown Des Moines for all sorts of fun. Gage's sister Camryn came with us to help and for support. I'm not sure I've met two sweeter siblings. We even got a quick photo of the two of them together during our journey.

Gage's bucket list for his shoot was the red bridge (and red happened to be his favorite color), city skyline from the capitol and the lake and incorporating his guitar in some of the photos. Gage's family spends a lot of time at the lake during the summer, so that was definitely important to him. And he loves playing his guitar. I love collaborating with my clients to come up with the perfect backgrounds and feel for their photoshoot.
