New York City | High School Seniors
So excited to share Sloane and I's big trip to New York City last weekend! We were able to share the experience with friends of ours... Claire and Erin! Erin is the only one that had been before, and it had been years since she's visited! I love traveling to places I've never been before. And it was so fun to share this experience with my daughter! 3 days/2 nights - jammed packed with lots of sight seeing and a few photo shoots! Our flight took off at 6:15am in the morning! After getting checked into our hotel and doing a little walking around and shopping, we met my friend Nicole Taylor at Grand Central Station and traveled to the Brooklyn Bridge for some photos! (the following photos are a combination of iPhone pics and my canon 5d markIII) Above is a photo taken from our hotel room. Next we were off to see an 8:00pm showing of Lion King on Broadway. We all loved the show! Then we walked around Time Square a bit! So late at night, yet there were people everywhere and it was very lit up! The girls thought it was fun that two French guys wanted to get their photo taken with them!
The next morning we rode the water taxi to the 9/11 Memorial. It was so sad to stand in the place where so many lost their lives. I can't imagine what it was like to be in New York City on that day.
Above is our group shot! I probably should have lowered my camera so you could actually see my face! ha!
Next we got back on the water taxi and headed to view the Statue of Liberty. Definitely smaller than what I had imagined in my mind. But very cool!
The next day after breakfast we headed to Central Park for a fun senior photo shoot with the girls! You can check out that here: Central Park Photo Shoot. Then Sloane and I visited some museums while Claire and Erin did some shopping.
The rest of the photos are just some random shots throughout the weekend! The view of the city lights were taken at the Empire State Building the night before. It was so cool to see so many lights and buildings for miles and miles! Goodbye New York City - Thanks for the wonderful memories! We will be back!
