WPPI in Las Vegas | Des Moines HS Senior Photography

WPPI -- a conference where thousands of professional portrait and wedding photographers come from all over the world. The whole thing was a bit overwhelming at first. However I was so excited! Excited to learn so many new ideas and to see so many new products that I could offer! And also to network with other photographers.  My focus at the conference was on HS Senior Photography. I've now got some new techniques that I can't wait to try! The platform classes were amazing and very motivational! Not only did I walk away with so much knowledge, but also with a sense of realization of what a photography business could become! I have a whole new fresh perspective.

As I looked out my hotel window at the MGM Grand, my feet sore from walking around in uncomfortable shoes for the last three days (note for next time, bring more comfortable shoes!), I could see the New York, New York hotel. My friend/photographer from Texas - Anita had already left. I was getting ready to leave for the airport in an hour and was finishing my packing. I decided to get out my camera to document where I was at this moment. So I snapped a few self portraits and reflections in the window. I felt so alive at this moment. Renewed and full of creative possibilities! Ready to head back to Des Moines and see the world a little differently through my lens!       -jill
